Featuring more than 30-safety-tested elements, the Discovery Course at Camp Shawnee is one of the finest in the area. Course activities are designed to engage groups with challenges that call upon team work to overcome. The Program

Through experiential learning , the Discovery Course programs promote team buildig. Team learning readily applies to work place issues, such as: Relationships among teammates and the impact of individual roles Decision-making and problem-solving with others Group creativity Stretching to meet goals and helping others to do the same Understanding resources within the work environment.

We build confidence by challenging groups with risk-taking in a supportive and safe environment.

The Highest Certification!

Our Discovery Course and instructors meet the highest standards of the Association of Challenge Course Technology, the national certification organization. Camp Shawnee operates under one of the highest certification scores possible from the American Camp Association.
