Adventure
Fitness This is specially designed program of physical fitness and life-skills education for children with special needs. The majority of the club members are blind or visually impaired. Activities are being planned to include children with other special needs. Some Camp Fire USA club members (youth and adults) volunteer to help Adventure Fitness participants get the most out of their adventures. Distance running, snow skiing, scuba diving, rock climbing....these are just a few of the challenges confronted in the Adventure Fitness Club! Both youth and adults volunteer to help with Adventure Fitness activities (generally on Saturday afternoons). It can be a very rewarding experience! For more information on Adventure Fitness, please contact Andrea Breier at 913-648-2121 ext. 112 or email at andreab@kc-campfire.org |
