Need For Support

Each year Camp Fire USA Heartland Council serves over 5,000 youth and families in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. While we are a United Way Agency, we rely on the generous financial support of individuals, corporations and foundations to partner with us in delivering our programs. The Heartland Council is continually thinking outside the box to come up with new revenure generating ideas.

Since Camp Fire USA has never been a "site-based" program (never owned its own centers), we have always relied on collaboration with other organizations for service delivery. Schools, churches, community centers, and housing projects, to name a few, all provide space for club meetings. Other organizations, such as Boy and Girl Scouts and area churches, utilize our Camp facilities for their camping experience, resulting in additional revenue to the Heartland Council.

We would be remiss if we did not mention the many volunteer hours that we needed each year in order to deliver our programs. Last year alone, over 900 volunteers graciously gave over 40,000 hours of their time to the dedication of serving our youth.

We need your support! Please consider a financial donations, an In-Kind donation, or donation of your time to help ensure the continuation of Camp Fire USA Heartland Council's mission: To build caring, confident youth and future leaders.
